The ATA Team on Throwback Campaigns: Monthly Roundup

Written by ATA Team | May 26, 2020

During the month of May, the ATA team shared our memories and opinions on marketing campaigns from the past. Just about everyone has been impacted by at least one commercial or two when they were younger. And, the fact that we may still remember them today shows just how powerful marketing can be.  Here's what the ATA Team had to say during Throwback Month on the blog.

Morgan wrote about the iconic "Got Milk?" ads, which prove a simple tagline and memorable photo are all you really need to influence an audience.

Ivy, in her most recent post, explained the rise of nostalgic marketing and the edgy-but-stylish Delia*s catalog. This one is giving us all sorts of great '90s vibes!

Like Ivy, Jackson went back in time to explore the '90s. Specifically, Jackson wrote about some of the bizarre and extreme marketing that took place with brands like Gushers.

Carter looked back on his childhood to discuss Adidas' "Impossible is Nothing" campaign. These commercials from the 2006 FIFA World Cup sparked Carter's imagination, as well as his love for soccer.

Lastly, Elyse took us back in time to talk Sock'em Boppers. Not only did Elyse write about her memories of the popular toy commercial, but she talked about the power of a catchy jingle — something we know all too well!
